Ashley Vernon

Piano, Guitar, Voice, Ukulele

Ashley Vernon has been playing piano since the age of four and began learning guitar and ukulele in her early teens. She is an active vocalist in a cappella chorus and barbershop quartets, where she regularly performs and competes. Ashley also enjoys arranging music in the barbershop harmony style and has created numerous original arrangements and “tags” (short, harmonized musical endings) that are shared within the barbershop community.

In addition to piano, Ashley has studied pipe organ under Dr. William Weisser and Josh Dumbleton in Raleigh, NC, and also enjoys playing harp and accordion. She brings over 11 years of teaching experience and loves working with students across a variety of musical styles. Her primary focus is classical piano, with a special love for ragtime and Romantic-era composers—especially Chopin.

Ashley believes strongly in a growth mindset and encourages her students to approach music with curiosity and confidence. She helps students see mistakes as part of the learning process and strives to create a supportive, engaging environment where each student can grow and develop at their own pace.
